We try to ensure we have a wide variety of experiences at Royton Explorer Scouts this is particularly important to us with camping. Whilst we love adventurous activities, we also like to do some traditional Scouting style camps as well.
May Bank Holiday Weekend took us to Waddecar Scout Camp where we enjoyed getting back to doing things the way Baden Powell would. We camped in hammocks, cooked on open fires and sharpened up our navigation with a day hike. Explorers learnt how to chop wood safely for the fire, and would now be absolutely fine if they ever made it onto I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here.
